How to clean your water bottle
There are two questions we often get asked, 'how can I clean my water bottle?' and 'how often should I clean my water bottle?'. Let's face it, you're probably just giving your bottle a quick rinse every now again but to keep your bottle clean and hygienic you need to be doing daily washes and deep cleaning your bottle sometimes too!
We're going to give you all the tips you need on how to clean your stainless steel water bottle and what you can use to make cleaning it easy and fast.
How to clean your bottle daily
You should wash your bottle after every use, even if you've only used your bottle for water. A quick wash in warm soapy water with one of our bottle brushes is all it needs. We'd then recommend you dry your bottle upside down to allow it fully dry inside.
If your bottle has a straw lid, like our guzzler bottle, you can use a mini straw brush to keep the inside of your straw clean and fresh too.
Most of our bottles are hand-wash only, this keeps the colour and patterns looking their best. Unless your bottle specifically says dishwasher friendly we would always recommend hand washing.
How to deep clean a water bottle
You need to deep clean your water bottle from time to time as well as doing daily cleans. This will help to prevent the build up of smells and stains.
Our clean and revive cleaning powder is a fast and scrub free way to remove smells and stains from your bottle or coffee cup. All you need to do is put 1/2 a tablespoon of the powder into your bottle (more for larger bottles) and top up with near boiling water. Be warned it will bubble up, so leave a little space in the bottle! Leave it to cool for 1-2 hours and then give your bottle a good rinse. Now you have a sparkling clean bottle with no smells or stains!

Other bottle cleaning tips
If you are still finding your bottle smells, it might be that the seal needs cleaning too. In many of our bottles the seal is removable so you can remove it and give it a proper clean in soapy water. Make sure the seal is fully dry before reassembling, and make sure the seal isn't twisted as this can cause your bottle to leak.
P.s. Don't soak your bottle in water as this may damage the paintwork.
